Hi there:
A while back my friend Sue and I were shopping in Michaels when on a fluke I ran across a (12x12) thick pack of assorted designer papers. When I say fluke, I mean it literally. I leaned over to re-tie a shoelace when voila there they were hiding on the bottom shelf in the floral department. If not for that shoe, I never would have seen them. These packs ordinarily bore me. You know what I mean, the kind with one or two nice prints and the rest are dogs? Well I was practically down on the floor anyway when I spied them so naturally I just had to take a peek. Wow they were fabulous--page after page of wonderful heavyweight, two sided papers in pretty prints and colors and nary a dog among them. Some were even gilded and heavily glittered. Between the two of us, Sue and I cleaned them out and later realized we had gotten it all for about eight-and-a-half-cents per page.
I used one of the glittered papers (the glitter doesn't show in the photo) for my Monkey card today. I liked the twiney, viney bird paper with the monkey image.
For this card I've used another Jill Haddad Digi' image. Isn’t he the cutest? I think her Monkey has a name but I just call the card, "Love at First Bite. The banana leaves were stamps from a High Hopes set. Everything was colored with Copics. Jill’s images can be found here:
